- Mediation Training:
Although there are no specific training or certification requirements to mediate cases in Montana, being an experienced attorney is a recognized benefit. Nonetheless, in addition to my legal experience and past skills in formal and informal mediation and negotiations, I have continued to pursue additional training on my own which has included: an on-line mediation course for certification and continuing legal education credit; reading several books compiled and published by the American Bar Association and nationally recognized mediators; studying and reviewing training materials obtained from other mediation centers; attending “Circle of Security,” an internationally recognized 9 week parenting class; and attending the 2013 Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect Conference sponsored by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, Child and Family Services Division. Additional training is always being considered and pursued.
